Technical specifications
SOUND
Charter Hall features a full range PA system, controlled from the Upper Gallery situated at high level to the rear of the hall. The system provides clear coverage across the hall in front of the stage.
A mixer with 16 inputs is situated in the upper gallery, along with CD & Minidisc playback, an effects unit allowing effects such as delay and reverb to be added to mics, etc. 2 handheld radio mic's are available, along with a lectern mic. 4 monitor speakers are available to be placed on stage to allow people on stage to hear what is going through the main system. Additional power for any extra equipment brought in is available backstage left.
FINISHES
Floor - Herringbone granwood flooring.
Walls - Beech veneer acoustic panelling above pink facing blockwork.
Ceiling - Acoustic tiles above stage and centre section of hall.
STAGE
A modular stage system, allowing various configurations to be made. Total area of staging available is 190.2 metres square. 22 stage units at 2.97 square metres at adjustable height of 0.75m, 0.90m, 1.05m and 1.20m with another 6 of the same size with an adjustable height of 1.20m, 1.35m, 1.50m, 1.65m and 1.80m. 24 units 4.6 square metres with variable heights of 1.20m, 1.35m, 1.50m, 1.65m and 1.80m.
The stage has black drapes at the back, with additional drapes to the side of the stage to the side walls of the hall. There are two sets of drapes each side of the stage situated on rails to allow them to be pulled forward to be level with the front of stage if required. Telescopic frames are available for additional draping. Front tabs are available on request.
LIGHTING
Charter Hall contains 36 lights suitable for creating a stage wash, 8 spot lights and 40 that create unfocused pool of light, all of which can be coloured to suit. There is a fully programmable controller located in the Upper Gallery, along with additional power located backstage right for any additional lighting you wish to bring in. 2 followspots are also located in the Upper Gallery. Additional lights that can be used as house lights are also connected to the lighting system.
VIDEO PROJECTION
There is a large video projection system fitted to the hall, with a 11'6" wide projection screen on the back truss at the rear of stage. Video signal can be sent from either the stage or from the Upper Gallery.
COMMUNICATIONS
There are 5 headsets available, usually positioned at lighting control, sound control, 2 x followspots and 1 x stage but can be allocated to suit.
