Le Talbooth has long been recognised as the foremost caterer in the area and with the fact that we bring over 50 years of experience in the hospitality industry you can be assured of a high standard of cooking and service at all times.

We are proud to have catered for the Queen on two occasions, most recently in November 2004 when she visited the University and afterwards had lunch in the Moot Hall, the Duke of Edinburgh when he opened a new dock in Ipswich and the Princess Royal in Harwich. We also cater at the Oyster Feast in Colchester every October and each year the current Mayor chooses Le Talbooth for their May Ball! Another important occasion in our calender is the annual Colchester and District Business Awards in the Charter Hall every November.

Le TalboothOur dedicated catering team enjoy a challenge and the variety of venues bears this out! Charter Hall and the Moot Hall in Colchester, Braxted Park, West Mersea Yacht Club, the middle of Great Bentley green to name a few, the list is endless and many functions are in our customers' 'back gardens' to celebrate an important family occasion.

Milsoms and The Pier at Harwich are also within our group, therefore we are able to rely on the expertise of our many chefs and front of house staff who regularly work as a team.

Functions for up to 1,000

Provided by our in-house catering team, functions are serviced by Leisure World's experienced team of friendly staff who all help to provide excellent food and service, whatever the occasion, from corporate functions and hospitality to family celebrations.

Colchester Leisure World was opened in 1991 and has quickly established itself as one of the area's premier locations, offering a choice of venues across the Centre and Sport and Leisure service.

Classics
Leisure World's Bar and Restaurant over looks Colchester's award winning Castle Park and the river Colne and caters for up to 150 guests. Available for private hire from £235 for 6pm - 12 midnight including a staffed cash bar facility. An earlier start and/or later finishing time can be requested at an additional charge of £58.75 per hour. This is at the discretion of the management prior to the date of the event.

Meeting Rooms
Available for private hire from £15 per hour, our meeting rooms are open from 6am - 11pm all week.

Deposit/Payment
Please confirm booking in writing within one week of your enquiry. Deposit to be paid on receipt of invoice. (Terms and conditions apply)

We have brought together a selection of dishes to suit your requirements and to make your meal planning easier.

When planning your menu please choose one dish from the starter, main course and dessert sections, plus a vegetarian alternative.

If there is a particular dish which is not shown on the menu that you would prefer, or if you would like advice on any aspect of planning a menu, please do not hesitate to ask our experienced staff.
